  • Tips for shooting with a 1970's studio camera.

    Hi there,

I'm shooting a series of new work on a studio camera from the 70's. The camera works great - and I've been recording successfully on to a DV deck. However, I met with a cinematographer who said it was possible to input the signal to a HD deck for more definition, etc.. I understand that the resolution of the camera is what it is, but is it possible to record to a HD deck? If so, which deck (brand, etc..) would do this? It obviously needs to be able to up-convert the analog signal.

I quickly tried it with my Canon Vixia HV-30 and it won't allow an analog input in HD mode. It's a low-end camera, so I wonder if there is some other deck that will do this.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Bobby
