  • DVCPRO Deck

    Hello,

We just received our new (and first) dvcpro AJ-SD255 deck. We plan to only use it for recording to tape. We have a 30 minute tv show that we make in adobe after effects and then load in Premier Pro 1.5 to export as a movie. Since we have the deck now, we want to obviously export to tape. However, I have tried setting everything up and I can not select export to tape in premier. Premier shows my deck as online, so this leads me to believe that the problem is with the deck. I tried to figure it out by reading the instruction manual, it gave all these options for initial settings on the deck, however they weren't really clear. So does anyone have advice on what to do? Thanks.

I apologize for not having the answer but I have a question that may help.
Can you export anything onto tape? I'm talking even color bars or tone or anything in the NLE system that wasn't initially imported by you.

Determining if anything can be exported at all might help you solve what the problem is.
