    Hi all,

not sure if this is the right place for this post but it seems to fit.

I need a real time profesional dvd-recorder. I would like one that i can plug a camera directly into and it will record in real time. I am using a sony Dxc-930 camera with a sony ccu-m5. The idea is that the whole system will be tapelessand the dvd's will act as the storage. Any recomendations would be great. All i can find are are consumer models and then the
    Pioneer PRV-LX1 DVD Recorder

    and the sony
    DVO1000MD

Is there anything els out there if not will these recorders do what I need?

    thanks

I don't know what you need other than the DV (Firewire) connection you mention. There are many units available anywhere from $150 to several $1,000. Do a serach at B&H on DVD recorders.

Sorry for the lack of info. I am looking for a dvd recorder that can be used at a profesional level. I guess that means chalking up a lot of hours for years to come. i need one that is built a better and stronger than a consumer one. The only two profesional ones I found where the ones listed above, can anyone recomend any other models. Out of these two is there one that is better than the other.
