    ProMAX was promoting these storage/archive solutions at LAFCPUG a few months back, you might want to take a look. I wouldn't be inclined to do the blu-ray option but the LTO solutions look pretty sound.

    Also LTO-4 is a bit more robust. Quantum is my favorite brand- they make drives you can connect via ethernet which is a lot more convenient than say old SCSI connections. It's a substantial investment but worth every penny if you have a lot of data...

    Hi

    We need to backup a large footage archive (20TB) that is growing fast. Since moving last year to solid state we are depending on portable hard drives for backup

    At the moment we are working with raided hard drive towers for working access, but need an additional backup option. Can anyone give me info about the LT03 tape systems?
