    RLT is seeking a Computer Graphics Senior Organic Character Modeler Photoreal Realtime for a Los Angeles entertainment facility specializing in high end virtual interactive experiences. This is a well-financed start-up company working with proven bleeding-edge technology, and populated with top tier talent from the Visual Effects, VR/AR, and Music Industries. This Los Angeles branch is part of a successful enterprise with offices internationally. This is a rare and exciting ground floor opportunity for the right individual.

    This is a full-time, permanent position starting ASAP (remote to start and then in-studio when it’s safe to go back). Excellent benefits and compensation.

    Responsibilities:
    • Create highly detailed and believable 3D character models and textures for use in-engine
    • Working with 3D scan data to produce high-quality models
    • Ensure character assets are of the highest artistic quality and uphold the integrity of the design and artistic vision.
    • Serve as a mentor for other artists
    • Work with production to follow and build schedules and to deliver assets on time.
    • Contribute to the development of the artistic techniques and processes utilized to define and achieve a product's visual style or encourage artistic evolution within the studio
    • Participate in research and development on the latest tools tech and methodology.
    • Capable of resolving a range of complex artistic development issues for both artists as well as other team members
    • Actively improve skillset and abilities by keeping aware of industry trends and techniques, evaluating competitive products, learning new software packages and traditional art methods
    Required skills.
    • Self-driven, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
    • 6 years’ experience working in human character / facial modeling
    • World-class skills with regard to human facial anatomy and mechanics
    • Working proficiency with FACS blend shape sculpting/modeling
    • Experience in building mesh re-topology and efficient UV / UDIM layouts
    • Portfolio of highly detailed, photoreal 3D character models with textures (skin, hair, worn fabric/accessories, etc.), accurate anatomy, detailed clothing, etc.
    • Experience modeling in Maya or other polymesh modeler
    • Working proficiency with ZBrush / Mudbox
    • Experience in VFX feature films
    • Experience in game development methodology
    • Understanding of how to make models that operate in Real-Time pipelines using Epic Unreal Engine
    Desired Skills:
    • Traditional drawing, painting or sculpting skills
    • VFX or AAA game development background
    • Tool scripting
    Education:
    • 4-year college degree or technical certifications
